How to: Disable Splash screen in Office 2010? Here is how *updated*

Wanting to disable the splashscreen in office 2010?

1.Right-click on the desktop. 2. Click New and select Shortcut.
3. Click the Browse button and go to the Word executable (“C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\WINWORD.EXE”).
4. After the full path and the end quotes, add one space and type in /q.
e.g. “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\WINWORD.EXE” /q

5. Click Next.
6. Type a name for the shortcut.
7. Click Finish.



For Excel

1.Right-click on the desktop. 2. Click New and select Shortcut.
3. Click the Browse button and go to the Word executable (“C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\WINWORD.EXE”).
4. After the full path and the end quotes, add one space and type in /e.
e.g. “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Excel.EXE” /e

5. Click Next.
6. Type a name for the shortcut.
7. Click Finish.

Register Tool, Register ActiveX and COM componants with ease!

Here is a small too I made for registering and unregistering ActiveX and COM controls.

Unlike RegSvr32.exe included with windows RegTool features a drag n' drop interface and a file chooser to make registration easy. for those who need or prefer command line options are also available.
RegTool registers files directly using the Windows API so it is not dependent on RegSvr32.exe although if you wish you can use the -p flag to force RegTool to use RegSvr32.exe tp register/unregister files.
