Application integrity checking?

Hover your mouse over the green, amber or red icon to see detailed  application information.

Note: Even if the icon is green someone might have found a  way around the protection system so it's worth checking that the  applications path is always the same as the location from which you  launched the application. You should also check that the MD5 matches the  MD5 found online.

Webcam software identifies motion, triggers alarm, captures snapshots, records video, and sends captured images by e-mail

email post
Web camera software senses activity, triggers alarm, captures images, records video, and sends captured images by email

Webcams
are good for more than just making ip conversations
more realistic. They can also be
an very helpful instrument
for use in home or corporation security.

Application
is now available that can sense motion and use
it as a trigger for countless procedures.

The way that
it works is to analyze the image sent by a webcam that is either connected through USB
or through a video capture card for movement. When it picks up
that movement, it can therefore take any number of events,
including triggering an siren.

An other popular software, though, is to either
send live images of what is happening in the picture that is covered by the webcam
or to even broadcast via online broadcasting exactly what is
happening with both audio and picture. If installed furtively,
this software could even be used for secret surveillance.

Given the
large number of systems that either have a webcam attached
or can support one, this is an perfect way to inexpensively and easily protect
the zone across that property
from invasion or burglary.

Broadcasting live video and sound from capture device
through web camera computer application

Surveillance software

If you find yourself with a need to record surveillance video with a webcam over an area,

webcam
computer software

may be the right choice for you. Using this application, it is possible to set up a
camera to detect movement and begin recording once it does.

Depending on your needs, the sights and sounds that are picked up by the webcam may be stored on a hard drive, or if the captured video
needs to be available off-site, can be broadcast using the server's streaming
feature to a site.

Depending on the quality of the camera and the viewer's video card, the picture that is recorded may be as clear as a high-definition tv signal.
Using a setup like this, it is possible to provide a measure of surveillance for an area when
the economics of the situation do not justify hiring a security business or setting up a professional monitoring system.

This

do-it-yourself approach

can save money while not compromising on security.

Modern professional protection software works with
any webcamera, IP cameras, and major capture cards.

Security software

has become so sophisticated that the average
consumer who has been busy minding his business instead of pouring over electronics and internet
technology articles can be easily overwhelmed when it comes time to install or update his surveillance system.

Fortunately, there is new professional security software that simplifies much of the decision making.
You don't necessarily have to get rid of a working analog closed circuit TV system in order to update to a streaming
video that can be watched from any internet connected pc or 3G phone. Video capture cards can digitally convert the
snapshots for webcast. Until yesterday, there had been no real attempts to regulate the new Internet
cameras; every make and manufacturer functioned a little differently. And when you put webcams into the
join, finding one application to control them all was unwieldy.

Professional security software

is now accessible that will work for any webcam
or IP webcam and for most capture cards as well. You can monitor anything your activity
sensors are picking up at your home or company while you can be half a globe away.
The application itself may not be easy, but it can make life simpler for you.

Update for Windows 7 (KB971033) "WAT Update!"

email post
Update for Windows 7 (KB971033) "WAT Update!":

Description: This update for Windows Activation Technologies helps detect validation errors and activation exploits. This update also detects any tampering attempts made to important Windows 7 system files. Be aware that some counterfeit copies of Windows include malware.

When this update is installed, it performs a validation process for the copy of Windows that is running on your computer. However, this validation process does not affect the functionality of Windows. The update process exits silently if it detects no validation errors, activation exploits, or tampered files.

If the update discovers a tampered file, it tries to restore the file. This restore may require a restart. If this update cannot restore the tampered files, it will direct you more information on the Internet.

Rating: Important

Reported Issues: May cause your version of windows to turned ingenuine in a varety of scenarios... Avoid the update at all costs..

6 Things Never to Post on Facebook

email post
The whole social networking phenomenon has billions of Canadian sharing their photos, favorite songs and details about their class reunions on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and dozens of similar sites.  But there are a handful of personal details that you should never say if you don’t want criminals — cyber or otherwise — to rob you blind, according to Beth Givens, executive director of the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse. The folks at Insure.com also say that ill-advised Facebook postings increasingly can get your insurance cancelled or cause you to pay dramatically more for everything from auto to life insurance coverage. By now almost everybody knows that those drunken party photos could cost you a job, too.

You can certainly enjoy networking and sharing photos, but you should know that sharing some information puts you at risk. What should you never say on Facebook, Twitter or any other social networking site?

Your birth date and place
Sure, you can say what day you were born, but if you provide the year and where you were born too, you’ve just given identity thieves a key to stealing your financial life, said Givens. A study done by Carnegie Mellon showed that a date and place of birth could be used to predict most — and sometimes all — of the numbers in your Social Security number, she said.

Vacation plans

There may be a better way to say “Rob me, please” than posting something along the lines of: “Count-down to Maui! Two days and Ritz Carlton, here we come!” on Twitter. But it’s hard to think of one. Post the photos on Facebook when you return, if you like. But don’t invite criminals in by telling them specifically when you’ll be gone.

Home address

Do I have to elaborate? A study recently released by the Ponemon Institute found that users of Social Media sites were at greater risk of physical and identity theft because of the information they were sharing. Some 40% listed their home address on the sites; 65% didn’t even attempt to block out strangers with privacy settings. And 60% said they weren’t confident that their “friends” were really just people they know.
Confessionals
You may hate your job; lie on your taxes; or be a recreational user of illicit drugs, but this is no place to confess. Employers commonly peruse social networking sites to determine who to hire — and, sometimes, who to fire. Need proof? In just the past few weeks, an emergency dispatcher was fired in Wisconsin for revealing drug use; a waitress got canned for complaining about customers and the Pittsburgh Pirate’s mascot was dumped for bashing the team on Facebook. One study done last year estimated that 8% of companies fired someone for “misuse” of social media.
Password clues
If you’ve got online accounts, you’ve probably answered a dozen different security questions, telling your bank or brokerage firm your Mom’s maiden name; the church you were married in; or the name of your favorite song. Got that same stuff on the information page of your Facebook profile? You’re giving crooks an easy way to guess your passwords.
Risky behaviors
You take your classic Camaro out for street racing, soar above the hills in a hang glider, or smoke like a chimney? Insurers are increasingly turning to the web to figure out whether their applicants and customers are putting their lives or property at risk, according to Insure.com. So far, there’s no efficient way to collect the data, so cancellations and rate hikes are rare. But the technology is fast evolving, according to a paper written by Celent, a financial services research and consulting firm.

Is Heartbreak Harder on Men or Women? Finally, an Answer

email post

We can't exactly imagine a guy sitting around with his buddies, eating Ben and Jerry's and venting about his girlfriend drama. Nor can we see him journaling, singing along to Rihanna's "Take a Bow", or Netflixing sappy movies anytime his relationship is on the rocks. But researchers have discovered that heartbreak actually affects guys more than us, and breakups hit them harder too.
Wake Forest University professor Robin Simon studied 1,000 single adults and concluded that a man's mental health takes a beating when he has issues with his significant other. An interesting explanation of why that might happen: When men are going through an emotional rough spot, they often turn to their girlfriend, not their bros. And when things aren't going so well with the GF, he might feel like he has no one to open up to. Also, guys are conditioned to keep emotions bottled up, which can end up making them feel worse and more hopeless.
Do you think breakups are harder on men or women?
