Male 12 years were 4.25 million compensation for wrongful imprisonment

(The Canadian Press in Toronto 21 e) the Ontario government announced Thursday, a man wrongfully sent to prison for 12 years, will be 4.25 million compensation, he was murdered niece miscarriage of justice, partly to blame pathologist Dr Smith (Dr . Charles Smith) is not the correct conclusion.

Mullins - Johnson, 40, and he and several other people were wrongly accused of murder of children, also in accordance with Smith the wrong evidence. Smith, a pediatric forensic pathology, once regarded as the authority of their areas of expertise.
In 2007, the Ontario Court of Appeal cleared Mullins - Johnson's offense.
Bentley, Ontario Minister of Justice (Chris Bentley) said: "Mullins - Johnson suffered the pain and suffering, and the province of Ontario are very sorry for the people."
Bentley said that, regardless of how much compensation money can not compensate for or eliminate the suffering and hurt over the years.
Solicitor Robbins (David Robins) said on Thursday that Mullins - Johnson was pleased the case finally ended.
But Conservative commentator Charles Dresser (Ted Chudleigh) that should not be so long to let him get compensation. ?
New Democratic Party also said Smith's other victims, the provincial government should be promptly compensated. Smith Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto during the autopsy in more than 1,000 children.
New Democratic Party leader Haworth (Andrea Horwath), said: "A lot of people are still waiting for the injured, they are the victims of Smith, they also look forward to closing, to deal with their compensation."
