True Sense of FP_NO_HOST_CHECK

email post

?

It seems no answer with it on the internet. Cannot find any make sense answer to define: FP np host check... >< Finally!!! I found that answer and publish here....

FP_NO_HOST_CHECK is an environment variable for windows platform based computers.

FP_NO_HOST_CHECK stands for FrontPage no Host Check. It is actually checking the computer platform if it is hosting a web. Simple!? Easy!? my one line answers are always better than those a few pages essays.

What device, application or service uses this? What program is "checking the computer platform to see if it is a web"? Is it only the FrontPage program that uses this when creating web pages? Does any webpage created by FrontPage that I might access on the internet check to see if I'm hosting web services? Perhaps there are many interactive devices, internet protocols or services that check this variable.
